By the end, you'll know when to use the présent and how to conjugate -er, -ir, and -re verbs.
Le présent de l'indicatif describes current actions, general truths, and habits. Regular -er verbs drop the infinitive ending and add -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent. The présent is also used with depuis to express actions that started in the past and continue into the present.

Why: NEVER use être + present tense verb. 'Je suis parle' is a direct calque from English 'I am speaking.' French uses the simple présent for both 'I speak' and 'I am speaking.' The present continuous doesn't exist in French.

Why: -s ਅੰਤ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 'tu' ਲਈ ਹੈ ਨਿਯਮਤ -er ਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ: tu parles। il/elle/on ਲਈ, ਅੰਤ -e (-er ਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਲਈ), -t ਜਾਂ -d (ਹੋਰਾਂ ਲਈ) ਹੈ। tu ਅਤੇ il/elle ਦੇ ਅੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਆਮ ਹੈ।

Why: -GER ਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ (manger, voyager, nager) nous ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ -ons ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ -e- ਪਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ: nous mangeons (nous mangons ਨਹੀਂ)। ਇਹ ਨਰਮ 'g' ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ -CER ਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ: nous commençons (nous commencons ਨਹੀਂ)।
🤫 ਚੁੱਪ ਗਾਇਕ ਮੰਡਲੀ (shh-shh-shh-NOUS-VOUS-shh)
-ER ਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਲਈ, ਅੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ 'ਚੁੱਪ ਗਾਇਕ ਮੰਡਲੀ' ਸਮਝੋ: -e, -es, -e ਸਾਰੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਹਨ (je parle, tu parles, il parle)। ਸਿਰਫ਼ -ons ਅਤੇ -ez ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (nous parlONS, vous parlEZ)। -ent ਅੰਤ 'ਤੇ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਚੁੱਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ils parlENT)। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ 'shh-shh-shh, LOUD-LOUD, shh' ਹੈ — ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੋ ਰੂਪ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਉਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ!
présent (ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਕਾਲ) ਸਾਰੇ TEF/TCF ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਹੈ। A1/A2 'ਤੇ, ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਅਕ ਮੂਲ ਸੰਯੋਜਨ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ (je parle, tu parles, il parle) ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। B1+ 'ਤੇ, ਉਹ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ: depuis + présent ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ (Je travaille ici depuis 3 ans — ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ 3 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ), si + présent → futur ਸ਼ਰਤੀ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ présent ਨੇੜਲੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਜੋਂ (Je pars demain)। depuis ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ B1 ਦਾ ਕਲਾਸਿਕ ਅੰਤਰ ਹੈ।
