Indefinite Determiners (Déterminants indéfinis)

An indefinite determiner is a word that accompanies a noun to indicate an unspecified quantity or amount. Examples include chaque, certains, quelques, aucun, tout and plusieurs.

J'ai lu chaque livre de la bibliothèque. (I read each book in the library.)

Il a invité certains amis. (He invited certain friends.)

Nous avons mangé tous les gâteaux. (We ate all the cakes.)

Common Indefinite Determiners

Indefinite Pronouns (Pronoms indéfinis)

An indefinite pronoun replaces a noun to avoid repeating it – just as you'd say "some of them" or "all of them" in English instead of naming the noun again.

Common Indefinite Pronouns
