又称: near future · aller + infinitive · French near future
The futur proche is the common spoken French future formed with the present tense of aller plus an infinitive, as in je vais partir. It expresses near, planned, or conversational future actions and is usually easier and more natural than futur simple for immediate plans.
Because aller carries the tense, the second verb stays in the infinitive. Negation surrounds aller: je ne vais pas partir.
Futur proche is useful in speaking tasks for quick plans and intentions, while futur simple is better for formal predictions and written arguments.
