TCF Canada Speaking: Task 3 Opinion Strategies

Task 3 (4.5 minutes) asks you to answer a complex question on a societal issue. This is where you demonstrate your C1 level.

Specific Structure (The 3-Part Plan)

1. Introduction: Rephrase the question and state your plan ("Je vais aborder ce sujet en trois points...").
2. Development: Present 2-3 distinct arguments supported by concrete examples. Use logical connectors (D'abord, Ensuite, Enfin).
3. Conclusion: Summarize your main point and give a final personal verdict or opening (ouverture).

Pro Tip

Don't be afraid to take a nuanced stance. You don't have to be 100% for or against. Saying "It depends on the context..." allows you to use complex grammar (Subjunctive, Conditional)!
