TCF Speaking Task 2: Mastering the Art of Asking Questions
The TCF Canada Expression Orale (Speaking) exam is divided into three tasks. While Task 1 is a simple introduction, Task 2 evaluates a very specific, practical skill: your ability to gather information by asking questions.
In Task 2, you are given a short prompt (e.g., an advertisement for a gym, a job posting, or a flyer for a language school) and you have 3 minutes and 30 seconds to ask the examiner a series of questions to get more details.
Scoring a CLB 7+ on this task requires more than just basic vocabulary; it requires mastering the formal register (vous) and constructing grammatically correct interrogative sentences.
